SRM offers an outline of trade relations between Italy – particularly Southern Italy – and the Mediterranean Countries. We propose a set of trade indicators on the exchange of manufacturing and energy products, with the aim to make aware the importance of the Med Area in Italy’s commercial relations. The existing commercial relations of Italy are compared with its major international competitors (Germany, France, USA, China, GCC countries). The Mediterranean countries included in the area observed are Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt (Southern Med Area) and Israel, Lebanon, Syrian Arab Republic, Turkey, Jordan (Eastern Med Area). This section also includes some occasional papers and an annual Report on trade relations with the countries of the Adriatic Med area.
