The Report reaches its third edition with relevant innovatory elements introduced in the analysis methodology and content.
In the first part of the Report, Economy, trade and businesses, a macroeconomic scenario of the South Mediterranean and a framework of trade exchanges of Italy and its main international competitors (this year China and GCC countries are also included) with the Med Area are outlined and an analysis of the Italian entrepreneurial presence in Tunisia and Morocco is presented. The second part, Finance and financial flows, investigates the financial structure of the countries in the MENA region, focusing specifically on the Tunisian and Moroccan banking systems; furthermore, an analysis is presented of migrant remittances (an element of increasing importance in international financial flows) which are directed from Western countries towards their countries of origin (in particular remittance flows from Italy towards North African countries). The third part, Infrastructures: logistics and renewable energies, takes into consideration the trends and possible future logistics scenarios and prospects in the renewable energy sector in the Mediterranean.

The Third Annual Report (English and Italian version) may be purchased from this website in digital version, at a discounted price.
